Hi all.

I have the Kettler Ergometer X7 bought in late 2009.

I connected it to my Windows 10 PC with the USB connection and the demo software recognizes it fine for the most part.
I can not configure the 4 button control panel on the device itself. It says press and hold one button. Then it reads press and hold all 4 buttons. I'm Confused here but nothing here works anyway.
Now my first question is if this is even supposed to work on my old device?

Second question would be, since I can control the gears with my keyboard up and down, left and right keys just fine with the demo software. Will that functionality also work if I buy the 98€ download version? Because this is much cheaper then the shops 199€ version and I'm fine with my keyboard controls.

Or do I absolutely have to buy the 199€ shop version?

As shown in Screenshot2018-08-22 11.10.39.jpg everything is fine with your Kettler and KWT Demo.

If you will buy the KWT Full version later you will need the KWT Panel or the KWT Remote app (only with Wifi network)

The Kettler panel is a copy protection with your X7.
In KWT Full version. For saving your X7 in full version you need the panel or the remote App. This is different to the Demo!

Xou need the KWT 2.0 Download version + Panel or Remote App instead of the panel

If I take the Android remote app.
Since 2 users will be using the X7, so 2 profiles will be created.
Do I actually need 2 devices for each user one or can both users use the same one and the same app?

Hello Sawyer007,

you have to pair one time with your smartphone and remote App.
has nothing to do with different KWT users.

So if 2 Users with smartphones when you will change user unpair the old and pair the new 2nd user (Remote App).

I have some old Samsung S5 devices. I will dedicate one for the X7 bike then.

I guess this will remove any need for pairing and unpairing for both users in the future.

I got the android app. Works fine on the demo.
