I have loaded the s/w on my laptop and I have paired the laptop with the bike. I then started the software and it seems that the next step is to register a device which I am trying to do via Bluetooth. I press the box marked bluetooth and highlight my device and then a box comes up that it is connecting. Nothing then happens!!

Any help greatley appreciated.

I am using 2.01.22.

I did try watching the tutorials but didnt understand them because they are all in german!

I haven't got a Bluetooth dongle. My laptop has bluetooth and I believe the Racer S has Bluetooth so do I need a dongle. I bought the World Tours Pack (version 2.01) with the bike which came with several wires. Do i need a sperate dongle with this and if so which one?

The other thing that I should have said is that my laptop connects via Bluetooth (in the control panel) with the bike. It is when I get into the Kettler s/w that there seems to be a problem.

I am only a private KWT user, so I don't know anything about a English tutorial Version.

With a new racer s you do not need the big KWT box (200 €) only the software update version. -> you will change in KT the gears by pressing the buttons on your Ergo display

Versions of the racer s.:
07988-700
07988-750
07988-755

You can try running FirmwareUpdate.exe
at your folder. C:\Program Files (x86)\KETTLER\WORLD TOURS 2.0

Then you have to press the same buttons on your racer s display as shown in the racer s Login tutorial.

After a Bluetooth Connection was established this program show you 3 possibilities.

1. Everything is fine -> Train with your BT racer s.
2. Your racer s needs a Firmware Update. (will be done be the program itself.
3. You Need a new a display change. Only with 07988-700
device number.


If you will get no BT Connection when your racer flashes the blue LEDs think about trying a Belkin or Wintech BT dongle.

First of all many many thanks. Because of the speed of your response and your expertise I thought you were from kettler. It is a shame they dont have anyone as good as you!!

I have a sheet called Prufzertifikat whcih states a serial of 07988-750-1005 - does that help?

I was so sure that I wanted World Tours that i bought it with the bike (maybe a mistake) but in any case I have it now.

When I start the software there are 5 buttons down the bottom - 3 are highlighted 'Log In' , 'Analyse' and 'Settings'. there is a big arrow pointing at settings and a box saying 'No devices are configured yet! Click Settings to set up a Device'. SO i clcik Settings.

On the next screen there is the ability to Add Devices and an arrow pointing at that. I press Add. That takes me to a screen which has 3 buttons at the top left 'Interface' 'Bluetooth' and 'Demo'. I have pressed Bluetooth and then press Select. A windows screen pops up which ask me to choose which of my regsieterd bluetooth devices I want and I choose the one called Racer S 42147F. At that point a window pops up showing that it is scanning for Bluetooth.

If you think that means I need a Bluetooth dongle then I will order one tonight.

I did try and update the firmware but I have a feeling the same problem happened because again my laptop just tried to connect to the bike.

Any thoughts?

In the meantime I have ordered the Belin BT dongle just in case. i can always send it back.

thanks for your reply.

I think.
When your PC is waiting for BT connection you have to do something at your racer s shown in the tutorial Video ->
Then the blue LEDS at your racer s should be flashing.
PC -> will find racer s then.

I think holdig the gear up button at your racer s might help during configuration.

I don't own a kettler BT device so I am not 100% shure of that what I suggest to you.

I think you don't need a new BT dongle, you have to press some buttons that your racer s shows flashing blue LEDS while your PC is searching for BT devices.

-> look again at the tutorial Video and then try your BT configutration again.

Look at your racer s manual too.

Hi Kiteman,

I had this problem when I originally bought a racer S. I have found now that most bluetooth dongles work OK and I have a laptop with its own inbuilt bluetooth that also connects without problem. I don't know if this is exactly the same problem that I had, but the solution was very simple once I stumbled on it:

The program was getting to the point where it was trying to connect to the Racer S and then appeared to hang up. I eventually found that if I minimized the WT program down to the task bar there was a message behind it indicating that the laptop was waiting for a pairing code even though I thought that it was already paired. Erik had already tipped me off that the software will accept the code 0000, so I put it in and problem solved.

I'm sorry if this doesn't solve your particular problem, but I thought that it was worth writing.
