Just completed my first training ride on the Racer s 2015-2017 version.

So far I have no issues it seems to work fine.

however . I am using Kett Maps app & the Kettler fitt app.
with the Kett Fitt app all is controlled via software on the app side.

By this I mean you can not change gear via the levers but only on the the apps touch screen on my phone.

Is that correct or have a missed something ?.

With Kett Maps this has a settings screen , I find the Blue tooth setting to be odd.

when I connect through setting I look for Racer S it says classic bluetooth found fine but then it tell me that I have no sensors for the hart monitor , why is that ?

Also again Manuel gear shifting seems to be disabled & everything is software controlled.

KTW 2 I have yet to get running , that is more of a tech issue that my desk top PC is in another room, so that is question of getting a 2nd hand PC with a high enough spec to run the software.

But on the subject of KWT 2 and the software interface on the subject of both software updates I take all is done via KTW and the Kettler update site ?.

Last of all are there firmware updates for the trainers hardware ? and are those also handled via KTW.

I think the bike is amazing but I have lot to learn to get the best from it yet , so any tips or advice is most welcome.

I own a racer S 2015/16 too.
@ Kettmaps.
Yes only Smartphone shifting and no heart beat if you don't use a BT heartbeat belt.
The racer S 2015/16 has only a integrated 5 khz HB receiver.

You can check if there is a FW update available for your racer S 2015/16 by starting FirmwareUpdate.exe in your folder C:\Program Files (x86)\KETTLER\WORLD TOURS 2.0

You have to repair BT again for this Programm.
I think your FW is up to date.

For the 2018 Kettler with premium display you have to download the FW software from kettler.net. So it depends of the Kettler devices.

My advice try KWT! Heartbeat and the Kettraces etc. You can export all your KWT trainings to the freeware program Golden Ceetah. So you have a complete training analysis.

You have to install Microsoft net 3.5 first to your PC before your install KWT. Then update KWT before the first start to vers. 2.0.5.12. from here -> software.

Yes we picked up the Polar belt it works fine with Kettler fitt App.
I now understand that to get the belt and other features to work with Kett Maps /Keno Mapps only happen with the subscription service for the full services.
But is limited for the Free access.

We both now have colds so riding is on hold for he moment.

A small question over the replacement system for KTW 2 to 3.
Will this be more in the direction of other 3rd party software like Swift or Bkool . these seem to be two of the biggest training apps for indoor trainers.

Never tried them preferring the Kettler all in one approach, with having to swap two bikes in and out of those types of trainers.

With limited space in our apartment that was not an option.
But the VR approach looks good form what I have seen.

I also prefer dealing with one company instead of several so i found the whole Kettler package very good, after a years research after we decided to go down the indoor trainer root.

I real want to get on this machine once my cold has cleared up, get some quality rides in during winter and enjoy try my hand at some of those big Mountain Videos.
