can anyone recommend what heart rate monitors are available and works best with the racer s as it came with the polar one but it seems to spike constant high readings on and off threw a session and ive never had this when using my Bluetooth one paired to my phone.

also when doing a health training session in kwt2 is it possible to up the resistance on the bike as the display only changes camera and heart rate zones. or is it mainly setup to just spin quite high

Hi does anyone know what causes the spikes as even if I'm not wearing the monitor it showing that there's a pulse on the screen which is still spiking .
It's beating me as I've tried Turning off my wifi ,phones,tablets etc and it still does it

Hello pika,

first question: every 5 khz heartbeat belt is suitable for KWT.
for example Polar = H1, H2, H7.

But other brands like Suunto have 5 khz hart beat belts too.

Second question: No idea -> maybe neighbours with strong wifi.

Can you bring your PC closer to the kettler.

I'm using my laptop and it is on a shelf in front of my bike .
Does wifi use the same signal?

no but 2 different frequences may effect each other more if they are close in the neighborhood .

Maybe your PC is too close to your racer s.

you have the same issue I have too: the hearth rate monitor doesn't work well with bluetooth interface. You have the racer s while I have the racer 9 but I think bluetooth interface makes interference with the polar band also the laptop is switched off.

I believe you have no problem with usb interface, right???

I hope Kettler can solve the problem because I have bought this bike specially it works with bluetooth.

I always use my bike Bluetooth never tried via usb as I don't have a cable at the moment to try it .
but im quite sure I never had this spiking before I did the firmware update and I presume you cant go back

Then, before you have updated the firmware, haven't you ever had this problem with bluetooth???

even if I move my computer away it still does it and I have my wifi turned off and if I search for another wifi signal there is none available so it cant be a neighbours.
I hope someone can answer or kettler sort it out as it makes trying to do heart rate training impossible.

I didn't notice it to be honest I had a few spikes that you get every so often but mine is un usable now as it spikes between 110-240 about every 10 seconds and that's on world tours or just on the bike display starting to wish I purshased a different make bike to be honest as this is no good at all for use with a heart rate monitor
Especially if you want to do health or performance training as you need a working pulse rate .
Don't know why they couldn't make the heart rate belt Bluetooth as never had a problem with my Bluetooth one when out on my proper bike to my phone and cycle computer
