Hi everyone,

I have had my ErgoRacer for around 10 years, and recently I have had a minor problem with it. I like to push myself when working out, and I usually set the wattage to 600. However, as I am riding, there is what I can only describe as a gear shift, which in turn causes a slip on the pedal, almost as though the bike has lost its gear.
Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, how did you rectify it?

Thanks
SQ

Hello SafariQueen,

first of all welcome here.

Workout with 600W? Are you a world tour rider?

How much Watts are shown on the ergo Display during the problem?

It can be a broken power supply or a broken printed circuit board of the ergo.

For opening the ergo you need a longer M12 screw and a 6 mm allen wrench.

First you have to pull away the PVC covers on the cranks from both sides.

Then open the 6mm Allen screw both sides -> left.

Then srew in the hole the M12 screw. -> go on then you have the crank on the screw.
Then you can demount the 2 plastic covers by opening the scews.

Greetings from Austria

Erik

Hello SafariQueen,

UPDATE:
Another possibility for this error.

Your Ergoracer has an external Power supply?

What about a broken cable from the power supply to the Ergo socket. When you Training with 600 Watt your ergo will move slightly and then you will have no power for seconds.

Can you see something on your ergo Display during the error?
Or is it dark?

I have had this problem with my Ax1 too!
I have changed the broken cable and then all was fine.

greetings from Austria

Erik

Hello G_landboy,

sorry my AXI and its power supply are already gone into rubbish.
My power supply was definitely a AC/AC one and NOT AC/DC.

As far as I know AC/AC 18-24V
