I do not exacttly know if this is the correct place to place this issue but I would be very thankful if someone could help me with this:

Yesterday I had a problem with my Kettler Ergorace, suddenly swicthed off between I was riding. It was something electrical I thought ...
But some hours later I tried to move a bit the electrical plug located in the rear of the bike and I was able to turn it on and apparently I turned on.

However, this morning, while I was riding normally, after 40 min of riding, I suddenly realized that brake was not working properly, I was pushing 250 watts and the brake
did not work.

Did somebody had this kind of problems before?

The bike has got about 5000 km

During KWT use?
then you have to set on the ergo display the Maximum watt=600. See your Ergo race manual page 12 or use guest preset at your ergo display-computer.


If you have this Problem without KWT use -> i don't know the reason -> for switching off.

Do you use the KWT update 2.0.0.6?
Do you have the orange Ergo race or the red one?

We have had some issues with the orange ergo race and kwt 2.0.2 -2.0.0.4.

The first problem was during KWT using
But I have realized that the problem has nothing to do with KWT
because this morning I was not using KWT when the brake started failing.

So it is not related to KWT

I insist that probably this is not the place to explain the problem but I have no assistance close to my home

do you have warranty?

Is the spiral cable tight in the socket of the ergo display?

When not (warranty) I think you have to open the Ergo Race,
Maybe a loose contact at the plugs and sockets. of the intern power lines is the reason.

For opening the Ergo race you have to buy a longer M12 screw.

With this srew you can take off the crank set (shown in your manual)-> then you can take off the plastic covers.

I have dissasembled the ergorace

A question for the people who can help:

The electrical transformer has a green light, this light should be permanently ON or should be alternating ON/OFF (intermittent)?

Can anybody answer this question?

The transformer should be always on when power switch is in position I.

But just to clarify, the GREEN light should be permanently ON if the transformer is working correctly? (with the bike switch on)

I think so because my transformer does and I have only transformer and display. (Test device without real brake and ergometer but same transformer.

Even when you switch it off the led will be on for some seconds because the transformer has some capacity.

I think your transformer is defect.

the light of my transformer is:

- When the bike is switch ON, the green light is ON and OFF

- When I switch THE BIKE off, the green light stays some seconds ON and OFF (intermittent) before turning OFF

I NEVER see the GREEN LIGHT CONSTANTLY ON
